L'Artisan Parfumeur
Independent Brand & Digital Audit
A close read of how a storied niche perfumer's digital touchpoints hold up against its own house standards, prepared as part of a portfolio submission to Puig.
Context
L'Artisan Parfumeur carries one of niche perfumery's richest heritage stories, built on craft, nature and artisanship, but a digital experience that did not always match the precision of the Maison. The audit set out to define what the first niche house still owns in a category it invented.
Approach
The audit worked head-note to base-note: the website experience first (carousels, image cropping, text legibility over imagery, asset resolution), then the social rhythm across campaign, product, heritage and behind-the-scenes content, and finally the consistency of tagged and reposted content against the brand's own visual standards.
Response
Findings were framed as opportunities rather than criticism: tighter carrousel cropping and clearer navigation cues, a more consistent visual system for Reels covers and preview frames so even a thumbnail reads as the Maison, and a lighter editorial hand on tagged content so the brand's own feed stays as controlled as its campaign imagery.
Outcome
The audit separated structural issues from surface ones and translated both into specific, prioritised recommendations rather than general commentary. The house owns its story; the three things undercutting it were all executional, and all fixable with no new creative to begin.
